# VPC Networks (np network)

> Manage isolated Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks using the np network command group.

The `np network` command group lets you create, inspect, list, and delete isolated Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks.

## Subcommands

| Command | Description |
| - | - |
| `np network list` | List all active VPC networks |
| `np network create` | Create a new VPC network |
| `np network get` | View configuration details of a specific VPC |
| `np network delete` | Delete an empty VPC network |

***

## List Networks (`np network list`)

Displays all VPC networks associated with your account:

```bash theme={null}
np network list
```

Format output as JSON:

```bash theme={null}
np network list -f json
```

### Table Output Columns

* `VPC ID`: Unique UUID of the network.
* `Name`: Display name of the VPC.
* `Subnet`: Assigned CIDR subnet block (e.g. `10.0.1.0/24`).
* `Region`: Geographic region code.
* `Outbound NAT`: Indicates whether outbound internet access via NAT gateway is enabled.

***

## Create Network (`np network create`)

Provision a new isolated VPC network:

```bash theme={null}
np network create <name> [options]
```

### Options

| Option | Description | Default |
| - | - | - |
| `--region` | Target region (e.g. `fmt1`, `us-west-1`) | None |
| `--description` | Optional description of network purpose | None |
| `--nat` / `--no-nat` | Enable or disable outbound NAT internet gateway | `--nat` |

### Examples

<CodeGroup>
  ```bash Standard VPC theme={null}
  # Create a VPC in the fmt1 region
  np network create dev-vpc --region fmt1
  ```

  ```bash VPC with Description theme={null}
  # Create with custom description
  np network create prod-vpc --region us-west-1 --description "Production backend VPC"
  ```

  ```bash Isolated VPC (No NAT) theme={null}
  # Create fully air-gapped private VPC without outbound NAT
  np network create secure-vpc --region fmt1 --no-nat
  ```
</CodeGroup>

***

## Get Network Details (`np network get`)

Inspect the complete configuration of a VPC:

```bash theme={null}
np network get <vpc_id_or_name>
```

Add `-f json` for structured JSON output:

```bash theme={null}
np network get dev-vpc -f json
```

***

## Delete Network (`np network delete`)

Delete a VPC network:

```bash theme={null}
np network delete <vpc_id_or_name>
```

<Note>
  A VPC network cannot be deleted while compute nodes remain deployed in it. Delete or reassign all nodes before deleting the VPC.
</Note>
